Stephen williams

Founder/operator

Stephen is the Founder of Full Flight. Diagnosed with ADHD at 13 years old, he experienced a wide range of social and academic challenges in K-12. Throughout his teenage years, Stephen disregarded his diagnosis and began experimenting with substances. His experimentation evolved into addiction when he was a transition aged youth. After a brief stint of incarceration as a young adult, he began treatment for his substance use which kicked off his road to recovery. He began to explore the impact his diagnosis had in his life and it's connection to his drug-use in his mid-twenties, years after establishing his recovery from substance use.

In 2017 Stephen became a Certified Peer Counselor in Washington State and supported young people with similar stories as a Youth Partner in the WISe (Wraparound with Intensive Services) program. During that time, he gained a passion for empowering youth in the treatment planning process and a deep appreciation for the wraparound approach. Stephen went on to briefly provide Care Coordination services in WISe before becoming a full-time trainer, coach, and content developer, most notably as a part of the En Route Network of trainers and consultants in 2019.
Stephen has provided training to hundreds of WISe providers in Washington State. He has provided training and coaching to Japan on the development of the Youth Peer Support role, and has experience designing and implementing statewide conferences that are held on virtual platforms (Socio, WebEx Events). If the work means it will get people closer together, he's interested.
